Hayden's Mimi and PawPaw (my mom and dad) were here this past week. We mainly relaxed and let them love on Hayden. Mom took us shopping for some fall clothes, dad and Matt played golf Monday night, and we went to the zoo. Everything else was eating out and hanging out at thepool. Here's a few pictures from their visit. We even got a family picture b/c someone was here to take one. It was sad to see them go (mainly b/c it was great to have extra hands for baths, diaper changes, feeding, play time, temper tantrums etc.) but my mom is coming back for Hayden's first b-day banana split party next month. So, until then, here's some new pics.

Almost Walking!!

Well, Hayden is 10 and a half months old and is sooooo close to walking. He's taking some tiny steps here and there. I honestly think he could take off and walk, he just doesn't know that yet! I just planned his first birthday this past weekend. We're doing a banana split party. I ordered lots of really cute decorations, banana split bowls, great invitations etc... My parents will be here on the 23rd of this month, but my mom is getting to come back for his birthday. I'm really excited, and the extra hand will be nice. When I'm scooping ice cream for 30 people I'll be really glad! We've also started the "weaning" process. Hayden's doing surprisingly well. I'm determined to be finished with all that by his first birthday...which I can't believe I'm already talking about. My, my how time flies. So many people told us to enjoy every second because it goes by so fast. They were right!! We were looking at some videos the other night when he was a newborn and a few months old and he was so tiny with a little quiet "waa-waa." Now this child is an animal! Our house doesn't even look like a cute little home with everything in the perfect place. The fire place has a safety latch, there's gates everywhere, and now our dining room table has been moved in front of my china hutch. He couldn't quite understand that the pretty glass doors weren't drums! I wouldn't trade this for the world though!

Happy 4th !!

Here's a few of our 4th of July pictures. We went to a friends house on Saturday and let the babies swim in Will's wading pool. Hayden was cracking everyone up because he is such a fish. The other babies wanted out or cried when water splashed in their face, but Hayden was dunking his head under the water. Once all the babies got out and Hayden was the only one in the pool, he took advantage of the wide open space. And, even though there was sunscreen and grass in the water, he decided to lap up the water like a dog! We just laughed. What do ya do? Then on Tuesday, we went to the big Fourth of July party that some friends throw every year with about 40 people. They have a gorgeous home with a great pool and deck. Only two of my pictures there turned out because of the humidity. I got home and looked at them and about 6 were just blurs...kind of like when your mirror fogs up in the bathroom when you're in the shower. Oh well...here's what I got. (oh, and there's not even a picture of Hayden in his 4th outfit. Not sure why I didn't take one. I'll put him in it later and "pretend" it's the fourth)

Beach Bum

We went to Port Aransas, TX this past weekend. We were there Thur-Mon. for Matt's family reunion. A lot changes when you have a baby. I guess the last time I went to the beach I layed out all day and Matt boogie boarded most of the time, we lounged around the condo, went out to eat whenever and wherever....not anymore! You get to see a lot more of your hotel room with a baby because you have two naps a day, bedtime at 8:00 (which was really 7:00 Texas time) and eating that yummy seafood isn't as yummy when it's cold:) I wouldn't trade all of it for the world though. Hayden loved the waves in the gulf. He was literally running into the water while he hung onto Matt's fingers. He giggled each time the waves splashed up on his chest. Here are a few pictures of Hayden on the beach.

Little Red Wagon

Aunt Melissa got Hayden this super cool "off roading" wagon! He's been too little to ride in it, so it's just been sitting in our garage. Last night I told Matt to put it together and he ended up getting a lot of help from Hayden. It was really cute watching Hayden try to help and play with the tools. I was snapping pictures and Matt kept saying "Could you help me out here...He's choking on a piece of the wagon Andrea....He's in my way, can you get him..." I was saying "Hang on honey, he's so cute right now. I've gotta take one more picture!" So, here they are in their first father son project.

Splish Splash

Yea! The pool is open in our neighborhood. We took Hayden Thursday and he seemed to enjoy it. I think he would have had a better time if he had had longer than an hour nap that afternoon. My dad was worried about the look on his face in a few of the pictures. He thought he looked scared. I think he was just checking everything out and more fascinated with all the kids splashing around him. Our life seems to change more and more each day with this kid! He started saying "Mamma" on Friday and now he loves saying it...and I love him saying it! He has 2 teeth on the bottom and 4 on top now. The top ones all came in at the same time. You can see most of them in one of the pictures. He is getting into everything and really keeping us on our toes. Yesterday he pushed his little toy piano up to the coffee table and I found him trying to crawl on top of the table. He loves Matts laptop cords, the fireplace, the stairs, the dishwasher, and plants. Why do we have toys for him? We are having a blast though. Here are the most recent pics of him.

Mother's Day

Yesterday was my first Mother's Day! I had a wonderful day. Matt bought me a card and Hayden got me a card, a coffee mug with his picture on it from Kodak Gallery so I can sip my morning coffee and smile, a framed picture and a few 5x7's and an 8x10 of him. Matt even took me to Taco Bell for my Mother's Day lunch! Ha,Ha. We've been going to early service at church so our afternoons are longer, so we took Hayden for a nature hike. He seemed to enjoy it, even though he was halfway asleep most of the time because it was nap time for him. I was informed by my sis in law that my last post was outdated. Hayden is crawling now! Our life is changing a little more every day. We have a very curious little guy on our hands. Needless to say, he's learning the word no. We think of it as killing two birds with one stone. He's learning "no" and his last name at the same time! He's been a little grumpy the past week because he's getting three teeth at once. Everytime he gets a new tooth, he gets a full blown head cold with it. So, he's not only frustrated with his mouth hurting, he has to put up with a snotty nose and cough too. Poor fella! I guess that's all that's going on right now. I'll put some new pictures on here. Until our next milestone...

Almost Crawling!!

Well, I haven't posted in a couple of weeks but not much is going on in the Noe household. Hayden and I are having a "Mommy/Son" weekend (isn't everyday that kind of a day?) because Matt and "the guys" are camping in Virginia. It's always a little rough when I don't have Matt to pass Hayden off to at the end of the day, but things could be worse. I talked to my sister in law last night who has been with two kids by herself for three days while Kurt was at a track meet Thur-Sat. As we were talking, Grant was screaming because he's cutting teeth and Mady had just found the "shosion" (lotion) and had it smeared all over her body. So, I'll take an eight month old by myself over a 6 month old and a 2 year old! We ended up talking for over an hour b/c we both needed some adult conversation. Life with Hayden is great though. He's just almost crawling. I would guess he's gonna have it down in the next week. Then I guess life as I know it will be over. Then begins the eating of the plants, crawling and getting stuck under the table, trying to climb stairs, leaving the room and coming back to no baby to be found etc... Matt and I have said this has been the most fun so far because it seems like Hayden wakes up every morning with a new trick. As far as the move goes, it looks like we will be closing on our house here mid summer then moving back home around August. We postponed the start date on building our house for 90 days so we can concentrate on selling this one before we focus on the Texas house. I guess that's all for now. I'll attach a few pictures of Hayden so everyone can see how precious he is...Ha,Ha!

House Change

Well, the house we thought we were gonna build isn't going to happen. We just couldn't get it for the price we wanted, with the upgrades etc. so we went with choice number two. It's still a great floor plan and we are getting every upgrade we wanted and then some. It's still in Keller and we are happy with it. I don't have an actual picture of the house but I'm attaching a picture of the model. Now we just have to cross our fingers that our closing on this house in NC goes smoothly!!

Ahh...Spring

I guess I do have something else I could post today. I have some really cute pictures of Hayden from two days at the park. I love Springtime and I'm ready for it to stay nice for a few months. Hayden loves being outside and he's a big fan of the swing.

We made it!!

We made it to and from Texas with flying colors! Hayden did great for me on the way down there and he slept from Terminal to Terminal with Matt and I on the way back. Everyone was saying "Oh, I didn't even know there was a baby on this flight. He was so good!" Matt and I were saying "yea, he's a good traveler...thanks, he was pretty good..." etc. Little did they know I'm a wreck before we board not knowing what the flight is going to be like. We found a house we like too. It's not 100% definite that we will build this house, but we are thinking more than likely, this is the one. I'll attach a picture of the model to this post. Hayden also started saying "DaDa" on the trip. Actually on the way back Sunday. It is so cute. Well, I don't have much more to talk about. I'll add a few pictures and that will be all for now.

Journey into the sky

Hayden and I are flying to Texas on Sunday! Matt has a conference in St.Louis so we are going to stay with my parents. Matt will be flying into Dallas on Wednesday to meet up with us and then we are going to spend the weekend hanging out with the other grandparents. I'm sure both sets of grandparents are chomping at the bit to get their hands on Hayden. Seeing pictures of him daily is probably a bit of a tease! I always get really nervous when I'm about to fly with him just because of "fear of the unknown." Now that he's so active and very particular about where and when he takes a nap, I'm really sweating it. I'll have Matt with me on the way home, but going out it's just us. Hopefully the plane won't be full and I can have more than one seat. Trust me, when people see a baby, they start looking for the empty seat. They act like they are being nice..."Here, you take all three seats and spread out...I'll look for an open seat." Yea right, they're not fooling me! I was thinking one way to scare the person next to me off is to just start nursing Hayden right when I sit down. That should do the trick:) Well, wish us luck on our 3 hour journey into the sky. Here's some new pictures of Hayden too.

Go Duke!

I guess you could say with Matt being such a big Duke fan, he's in heaven here in the ACC conference! A guy at our church had four tickets to the ACC Conference championship today and Matt was able to go and see Duke win! Hayden sported his Duke jersey for Daddy and I took a few pictures of them when he got home. I'm also adding a few more pictures of Hayden so you can see how big he's getting. We had to get rid of his "baby" toys and get him some big boy toys. He was so bored with the other ones and he is really having fun figuring out the new toys and all they can do. You can also see his cute teeth in a few of the pictures. He has two now and is working on more. He's been a little demon while he's been cutting them, but maybe he's gonna knock them all out at once...wishful thinking I guess:) He's been getting around like a little inch worm, crawling up on his toes and laying flat, up on his toes, flat etc... and he ends up going wherever he wants. He is so busy all the time and I am not looking forward to flying to Texas in April with him by myself. He used to sleep on the flights, but now I'm pretty sure his goal will be to drive the person next to me nuts! Anyways, I hope you enjoy the pictures and I'll write again soon.
